Established in the year 1984, the Irrigation Management Training Institute (IMTI) functions under Water Resources Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.

The institute is dedicated to build capacity and impart training to engineers, farmers and stakeholders in the field of irrigation, agriculture and water resources management.
